Seasoning Your Pan
The "seasoning" you may have read about is the norm for black steel skillets like these. When you are ready to use your pan for the first time, wash and dry thoroughly. Then, coat the inside with a neutral flavored cooking oil and place in your oven for 2 hours at 300 degrees. Let cool, wipe the skillet down and you are good to go! There are a couple recommended methods for seasoning your carbon frying pan so if you have something that has worked well for you, you won't have any problem here. Keep in mind, over time this process will only make the pan more effective.
