Warehouse Associate

We are seeking a warehouse associate to join the Cooks Direct team!

Job Description

Safely and accurately conducts warehousing activities such as shipping, receiving, order picking, and maintenance as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor.

• Type: Full-Time
• Education Required: High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities:

Receiving
Accept UPS/FedEx packages daily.
Unload pallet shipments from common carriers.
Orders shipped via a common carrier are to be received, inspected, and checked in.

Picking Orders
Pick assigned orders accurately, using carts, stairs, pallet jacks, hand carts, electric order picker, electricreach truck, and electric pallet jack.
Pack orders efficiently, using packing materials and boxes best suited for items being shipped.
Palletize LTL (Less Than Truckload) orders, weigh, wrap and measure pallets.

Shipping
Double-check accuracy of pick.
Create UPS, USPS, and FedEx shipping labels.
Build LTL shipments, create BOLs (Bill of Lading), rate shop LTL rates.

Daily Maintenance Tasks
Empty warehouse trash cans, breakdown boxes for recycling, sweep floors.
Remove all empty pallets from the racks, cut flaps, remove loose wrap as needed.
Clean break room and restock supplies in bathrooms.
Keep walkways and aisles clear of obstructions, keep sidewalks shoveled and salted.
Complete any other general office maintenance tasks as directed by Warehouse Supervisor.
