This thermometer features a 3.5 mm diameter probe that reduces down to 1.75 mm in diameter with a thin 1.19 mm diameter tip, ensuring compliance with the FDA's Food Code guidelines. This reduced tip boasts a rapid response thermistor sensor, allowing it to detect the temperature in under 6 seconds.
After 10 minutes of inactivity, the instrument will automatically turn off to preserve its 1.5V battery. Two batteries are included with the thermometer. A low battery indicator icon will appear on the display when it is time to change the batteries.
