Supply chain issues are all over the news and we are hearing it from our customers on a daily basis.
Long lead times on equipment are a problem in nearly every industry, and they are certainly an issue in the foodservice equipment supply market. We have been hearing it on the news and seeing it in the images of container ships that are backed up at the ports for months now and the word from many of our suppliers is that we can expect this to go on for several months – even through the whole of 2022. Long lead times on goods in all industries seems to be the new normal and foodservice equipment and supplies has not been spared.
At Cook’s we do have some equipment that is in-stock and ready to ship today as well as a large inventory of smallwares and foodservice supplies. Unlike other commercial foodservice equipment providers, you’ll find equipment that is appropriate for the correctional kitchen in our inventory. We have products like the Hobart meat grinder and Buffalo Chopper, that are regularly used in corrections but not typically found in commercial foodservice outlets, in our inventory.
