Let’s start by saying Thank You to you, our customer. At this time of Thanksgiving, we reflect on the blessings and beauty that life offers us – waking up in a warm bed, the smell of hot coffee, the freedom of this great country and the ability to walk around safely in our communities. These are blessings that can easily be taken for granted but because we work with correctional facilities throughout the country, we know that it takes many hardworking people to bring us these blessings. For you we are grateful today and every day. We also appreciate the confidence you place in us with each order you place with us.
One of our traditions at Cook’s is to celebrate Thanksgiving with each other by having a potluck holiday dinner. It’s a time for everyone to relax and bring themselves and something they made to the table. Like many families, we discuss past Thanksgivings and share memories with new comers at the table. Cook’s Correctional began in 1997. The company is all of 26 years old and our most senior employee, other than the owner, has been there for 18 of those years and we have several employees with more than 10 years with the organization, so there are a lot of memory keepers. Having our celebration at Cook’s before the holiday is another reminder that we will get to spend our Thanksgiving Day with our family and friends, something we know that many of our customers are not able to do. And with that, we also get to reflect on our gratitude for the opportunity to work with each other and with you.
Wishing you, your staff and your families a happy, healthy and safe Thanksgiving holiday. May the good things of life be yours in abundance, not only at Thanksgiving but throughout the coming year, from your friends and family at Cook’s.
